Iām a product designer and recent systems engineering graduate from the University of Virginia.
Some things I love are:
anything related to art, more specifically illustration and web design; upcycling thrifted items; reading books in my hammock; making hyper-specific Spotify playlists; k-pop; playing video games and watching streamers on Twitch until ungodly hours on the weekends; and fangirling over everything released by Pixar Animation studios.

I graduated from the University of Virginia School of Engineering and Applied Sciences with a B.S. in Systems Engineering and minored in Computer Science. Through this program I was exposed to a lot of different subjects such as data analysis and visualization, computer programming (both front and back end), utilization of systems thinking, stochastic theory, human computer interaction, user experience design, and more.
I struggled to figure out what I ultimately wanted to do after graduating. In the summer of 2019 I interned at Maximus as a software engineer where I learned a lot about cross-team collaboration and was introduced to the agile methodology. However, after that summer I realized I did not want to just sit and code all day long. Through some trial and error I ended up taking a few classes about user experience design and the intersection of digital media and human factors. Through this I found my passion for product design. I had finally found a career in which I could combine my longing to be creative through the use of my technical skills.

I got my first design gig doing freelance work for MIST, a medical software startup. I hope to eventually move into the gaming industry to do UI/UX work or any form of game design. I dream of using my knowledge of user experience. to be a part of developing the type of games I got addicted to while growing up. I wrote my undergraduate thesis on how people of different backgrounds learn the language of playing games.
