The MIST team approached me and my web developer friend hoping we could help them redesign their website. The timeline they proposed had a pretty quick turnaround so we worked nonstop to be able to have the site ready to ship within about 1 month and a half since the project proposal. I felt that I had the skills to do this as long as I stayed focused. I received a style guide for the company and a rough idea of what the pages needed to contain. Besides that I was given free reign to design the website how I felt looked best and was even able to make suggestions on tweaking the style guide if I had good reason.
I attended a few creative meetings with our client, the CEO of MIST, to receive feedback on each iteration of the website I produced. Since the timeline was crunched, I ended up initially designing several versions of each page and presented those to get a sense of the clients preferences. Once the initial layout for each page was chosen I iterated on those designs, requesting feedback as often as possible, and eventually came to the final website. This was then vetted and approved by the entire MIST team.
After approval I was able to hand off the design to the developer and continue to work with him to ensure all parts of the design were feasible to produce.
